Hello! I'm Sothearith Seak, the creator and primary author behind Civil Sheets. I am a dedicated civil and water resources engineering professional with a passion for simplifying complex calculations and sharing practical tools with the engineering community.
Throughout my career and academic journey at Northwest A&F University and the Institute of Technology of Cambodia, I frequently found myself rebuilding the same spreadsheets and calculation sheets for routine design checks, structural analyses, and hydraulic estimates. I created Civil Sheets to compile these tools into one accessible, easy-to-use platform.
Why Civil Sheets?
Engineering requires precision, but the process of getting to that precise answer shouldn't be bogged down by repetitive manual calculations. The goal of this blog is to provide engineering students, draftsmen, and professional engineers with reliable, fast, and transparent calculation templates.
Unlike "black-box" software, my goal is to eventually outline the underlying formulas and methodologies alongside every tool I publish, so you always know exactly how the math works.

Every spreadsheet and tool on this site is built based on standard engineering principles and codes. While they should always be independently verified before use in real-world construction, they are designed with professional rigor in mind.
